Blackburn Rovers are seeking an Academy Physiotherapist to provide medical diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation to all academy players on a daily basis.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • To provide medical diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation to all academy players
  • To provide match day cover as and when required
  • To maintain up to date medical records as MCSP
  • To organize scans and external treatment as required
  • To liaise with parents and coaches as required
  • To ensure all written evidence is up to date as per EPPP requirements
  • To liaise with all BRFC staff on a daily basis
  • To create external links as required
  • To maintain an up to date CPD portfolio
  • Ensure best practice is followed at all times and players are receiving optimal advice at all times.
  • To maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  • To assist and lead departmental in-service training as and when required.
  • Assist in the education of all players and parents as required in terms of injury prevention, injury care, post-match recovery, and drug awareness.
  • To assist in the collection and evaluation of ‘Psychometric Measures Questionnaire’ and daily physio screen
  • To assist with the cool down, strength, movement re-training and stretching sessions with squads or groups of players as required by the department.

Blackburn Rovers FC currently have a vacancy for the following role:

  • Athletic Performance Training Analyst

Duties include:

  • Utilise GPS, heart rate monitoring and any other relevant technologies to effectively monitor training/competition load
  • Produce reports that detail the loads placed on the player for that training day
  • Analyse data and produce reports that detail the current training status of the player
  • Analyse data and produce reports that determine long term effects of training and potential positive manipulations
  • Research new tracking technologies and their potential future use for BRFC 
  • Keep abreast of and report to the department on all load tracking research
  • Assist in general day to day housekeeping activities 
  • Responsible for the BRFC Load Tracking Strategy
  • Provide support during 1st Team and U23 conditioning sessions to the Head of Athletic Performance and Senior Athletic Performance Coach
  • Deliver athletic development sessions for the YDP squads (12-16) as deemed appropriate by the Head of Academy Sports Science and Medical.

Blackburn Rovers Academy are seeking two Casual Academy Physiotherapists, to undertake Medical Provision on behalf of the Academy agreed with the Head of Sports Science and Medicine department, and to work games and clinics agreed by the Sports Science and Medicine Department.

Duties include:

  • To report to Head of Sports Science and Medicine
  • To assist and liaise with all staff in the running of the department as required
  • To provide medical cover for games and training as required
  • To provide medical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Academy players as required
  • To assist in fitness testing and anthropometric testing of all Academy players
  • To maintain up to date medical records
  • To liaise with all stakeholders in the medical provision of all Academy players
  • To attend other relevant courses/workshops as required from time to time
  • To attend all meetings and in-service training relevant to your position as required
  • To maintain up to date qualifications
  • To submit any paperwork regarding duties on the required monthly deadline.

Required qualifications:

  • Basic First Aid
  • Chartered Physiotherapy Degree (or equivalent) or working towards

Would you like to be a part of a team ensuring the safety and well being of all of our supporters from the time they enter the stadium until they depart?  As a Safety Steward you will be expected to work towards an NVQ level 2 in Spectator Safety and be fully committed to carrying out your duties, whilst delivering service excellence by meeting and greeting fans with the friendly face of the Club.

You will be committed to delivering service excellence, have a can-do attitude and maintain the highest levels of professionalism.  If you are immaculately presented, service driven, outgoing and friendly, can work weekends and evenings, then we want you to be a part of our match-day safety team for the 2017/2018 season.

 
General Responsibilities:
  • Managing capacities and behaviour through proactive observation of, and interaction with, spectators and guests
  • Assisting with queue management, ensuring good order in the allocated areas
  • Ensuring effective close down of areas at specified time
  • Monitoring spectators
  • Reporting of unusual crowd dynamics
  • Identifying and reporting any hazards and defects including suspect objects
  • Keeping entrances, gangways and exits clear
  • Observing and enforcing ground rules

As per the Green Guide, you must be 18 years or older to be considered for this position.  Ideally you will already have an NVQ2 Spectator Safety / Customer Service or an SIA Licence but relevant experience will be considered in place of this.  All applicants must be available to work weekends and evenings and commit to games throughout the full season.
