Rovers Ladies are aiming to bounce back tomorrow afternoon says Jade Richards as she previews their trip to Watford.

Richards and her side are looking for their first league win in five games tomorrow and she believes the side have the talent to pick up the crucial victory.

Looking ahead to the game, she said: “We’re looking to bounce back, and we’re excited for another game.

“It’s an opportunity to prove ourselves and show that we are capable, and we have the talent in the team and around camp, so we just want to bounce back from the last couple of weeks.

“We want a game to look forward to and build on things we haven’t been doing so well in previous games.”

The defender also calls for the team to start grinding out some ugly, hard battled wins.

“I don’t think we’ve lived up to the billing the last few weeks, so we definitely need to be able to produce performances whether they’re scrappy performances and we get results – we’ll take that,” Richards explained

“But we can’t settle for sometimes playing well but losing out in games.”

A win tomorrow will also boost the team with some crucial confidence states the 29-year-old.

Richards said: “It will provide us with confidence, and it will set the bar.

“So, we definitely need to bounce back, and we just need to believe in ourselves more.”

Rovers beat Watford 3-1 on home soil back in September in the reverse fixture and Richards has full belief that the side can take another three points from them tomorrow.

She said: “It always help when you’ve played a team already in the season because you can then see what sort of trends they have and patterns they play.

“So, it’ll be good to go out and do it again against them – we’ve done it once so why can’t we do it again.”
