Kaide Gordon his a hat-trick as Rovers went down to a heavy victory at Derby County.
Gordon's treble came after Dylan Williams' early brace got the hosts up and running on home turf.
And although Lenni Cirino pulled one back to make it 2-1, the Rams ran out comfortable winners.
It was Williams who swept home after only seven minuted at Moor Farm Training Centre.
The striker finished off a fine move that went from back to front to give Will Blease no chance in the Rovers goal.
Better was to come for Williams and Derby just three minutes later as the forward put County 2-0 up.
Poor defending led to the home side robbing the visitors, with George Pratt's attempted tackle only putting the ball onto the toes of Williams, who doubled his and his side's advantage.
Rovers responded well though and got themselves back in the game through Cirino, who fired home on the volley after Jared Harlock's driven corner.
However, just six minutes later and Gordon got his first of the day, capitalising on some hesitancy from Blease to tackle the goalkeeper and roll into an open goal.
More sloppy play arrive before the half hour mark, this time it was Jake Garrett's poor pass that was cut out, with Gordon lashing into the bottom corner to make it 4-1.
Things got worse for Mike Sheron's youngsters, with Gordon completing his hat-trick just four minutes into the second half.
Slid in by Olamide Ibrahim, the forward's low shot kissed the post and was adjudged to have rolled over the line by the assistant referee.
Blease saved from Williams, who himself was eyeing a hat-trick, before Zak Gilsenan's shot was held in a rare foray forward from the visitors.
Rovers will be hoping for better fortunes when they head to Stoke City next up on Friday 4th December.
