Now in her 11th year with the club over two spells, ‘Shep’ is into her fifth season back at Rovers after moving to Liverpool and Manchester City.
After starting her career at Manchester United’s reserves at the age of 16 she then moved to Stockport’s first team.
The 33 year-old felt she was “coming back home” by re-joining Rovers and has been club captain for the last three seasons.
The combative centre-midfielder was awarded the FA Women’s Premier League Players’ Player of the Year in 2016.
Lynda represented England U21s and U23s whilst in her first spell at Rovers and went on to play for Northern Ireland at senior level.
