Flying full back Amari'i Bell arrived at Ewood Park in mid-January 2018 from Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee.
The left-back put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half-year contract after completing a medical to bolster Tony Mowbray's then promotion-chasing squad.
After rising through the ranks at Birmingham, Bell had a number of loan spells at various clubs including Nuneaton, Swindon and Gillingham before signing for Fleetwood in July 2015.
Following an impressive maiden campaign on the Fylde coast, Bell was recognised for his standout performances by being shortlisted for the club's Young Player of the Year award.
The appointment of Uwe Rosler saw Bell retain his status as a first-team regular in 2016/17, as Fleetwood went on an 18-match unbeaten run to reach the League One play-offs.
The versatile defender played 90 minutes against Rovers when the sides met at Ewood Park in October 2017, and joined the Blues despite reported interest from Championship clubs.
Although sparingly used when he first arrived, no outfield player featured more than Bell for Rovers in our 2018-19 Championship season, with the 26-year-old appearing on 43 occasions, scoring three times - all of which were away from home.
An injury-hit 2019-20 campaign saw Bell feature less, with the left back totalling 22 games in all competitions.
The full back is closing in on a century of appearances for Rovers and is expected to reach that milestone in 2020-21, with a one-year option on his deal taken up to keep him at Ewood Park until the summer of 2021.
