Sam Durrant signed for Rovers in June 2018 from Merseyside giants Liverpool.
The 16-year-old, who was coveted by a number of other clubs, has signed a two-year scholarship, plus a one-year professional contract.
A creative midfielder, with a keen eye for goal, Durrant spent six years at Everton before being bought by their Merseyside rivals four years ago.
