Rovers completed the signing of promising young striker Joe Nuttall on a one-year deal in July 2017.
The 20-year-old joins after a successful trial having scored fire goals in two outings for the Under-23s.
Hailing from Manchester, Nuttall came through the ranks at Manchester City's Academy. He had a brief trial at Rovers, making three appearances for the Under-18s at the end of the 2014-15 season, before joining Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen that summer.
After 12 goals for the Dons' Under-20 side, and two substitute appearances for the first team, the striker joined Stranraer in November 2016. He made an immediate impression, netting in each of this first two starts for the Scottish League One side.
Nuttall would go on to make a further eight appearances for Stranraer before ending the 2016-17 season on loan at Scottish Championship side Dunbarton.
After his time at Aberdeen came to an end, Nuttall returned to Rovers on trial once more, showing his striking promise with a hat-trick for the development squad in a 5-0 victory over AFC Darwen in their first pre-season friendly of the summer.
A substitute appearance for the first team in the 8-0 triumph over York City was followed by further goals for the Under-23s with a first-half brace in last week's 4-1 victory over Ramsbottom United.
After featuring in the senior squad's win over Morecambe, the young striker committed his immediate future to Rovers by putting pen-to-paper on a permanent deal at Ewood Park.
