Bio
Rovers announced the signing of Japanese forward Yuki Ohashi on a permanent deal from Sanfrecce Hiroshima, for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2024.
The 29-year-old signed a three-year contract at Ewood Park until June 2027, with a one-year option.
Ohashi, who will add a different dimension to Rovers’ attacking options, becomes our second signing of the summer transfer window, subject to international clearance and approval from the relevant football authorities.
After a promising youth and college career, Ohashi joined J League club Shonan Bellmare in 2018, winning the J League Cup in his maiden season with the club.
During five years with Shonan, he made over 100 appearances and enjoyed an impressive 2023 campaign, in which he scored 13 goals in 23 league games.
That prompted Sanfrecce Hiroshima to swoop for his services, with Ohashi making the move ahead of the 2024 campaign.
