Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of defender Owen Beck on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool.
The 22-year-old left-back is rated highly at Liverpool, who he joined at Under-13 level.
A forward-thinking full-back, Beck progressed through the Reds’ youth ranks, featuring four times in the EFL Trophy, before making his senior debut in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory away to Preston North End in the Carabao Cup in October 2021.
He featured again in their quarter-final triumph over Leicester City, as Liverpool went on to lift the trophy.
Following a short loan spell at Portuguese top-flight side Famalicão, Beck then made a loan move to Bolton Wanderers, where he made nine appearances during the 2022-23 season, being on the losing side just once.
The Wales Under-21 international continued his development on loan at Scottish Premiership side Dundee last season, where his fantastic form was recognised with a place in the PFA Team of the Year.
He also made his Premier League debut for Liverpool last term, coming on in their 4-0 victory away to Bournemouth in January.
Having made 28 appearances north of the border last season and following a full pre-season with Liverpool, Beck is now ready for the challenge of the 2024-25 Championship campaign here at Ewood Park.
Welcome, Owen!
