Tony Mowbray has hailed Tyrhys Dolan as one of Rovers' most vital players following the forward's impressive performance against Queens Park Rangers.

Had Jeremy Simpson not blown his whistle for full time, the chances are that Dolan would still have been running into this week.

Never letting up, his intense hassling ensured he was a real menace for the visiting defenders.

Recently returning from a hamstring injury that kept him out for just over a month, Dolan was back in the starting XI for the crunch clash against the Hoops and certainly had a big impact in the game, even though he didn't find the net.

And Mowbray was full of praise for the 20-year-old's influence at the club, with the boss admitting that the dynamic attacker is a big part of his plans.

“He’s amazing, he’s been injured, he’s been out of it and [John] Buckley’s been doing exceptionally well," Mowbray began when highlighting the diminutive frontman's display to RoversTV.

"He has a really bright future because of his attitude and his desire"
