Goals from Derrick Williams and Bradley Dack sealed a comfortable win for Rovers at the expense of Millwall at Ewood Park.
Williams smashed home his second of the season midway through the first half with a thumping effort that flew into the corner.
It took until 15 minutes left to make the game safe, with Dack tucking home from a few yards out after an expert cross from Darragh Lenihan.
The result was fair, with Rovers earning a fourth clean sheet of the campaign by comfortably keeping the visiting attack quiet throughout.
Tony Mowbray made two changes to his starting XI, with Tosin Adarabioyo and John Buckley both coming into the team.
Lenihan joined Adarabioyo in a back three, with the Irishman appearing for the 150th time in his club career.
Visiting midfielder Ryan Leonard had the first shot in anger in the opening minute, but his shot was comfortably saved by Christian Walton.
At the other end, sharp passing fed Adam Armstrong, whose effort from outside the box was easy for Batosz Bialkowski to gather.
But Rovers did grab the advantage with the next attempt as Williams thumped an effort home that flew past Bialkowski from all of 20 yards.
Neil Harris' side looked for an instant response, but Walton was equal to Mahlon Romeo's right-footed effort midway through the half.
Elliott Bennett almost doubled the advantage with five minutes of the half remaining, but lashed wide of the target after some great work from Dack, in what was the last action of the half.
A change at the break saw Sam Gallagher enter the action in place of Buckley, and Stewart Downing tested Bialkowski with a rasping drive that was beaten away by the Millwall 'keeper.
Armstrong was next to be denied by Bialkowski after forcing his way into the box, with the big Pole sticking out a glove to stop the diminutive striker from getting off the mark in the league.
Icelandic forward Jon Dadi Bodvarsson forced Walton into a smart save down to his right just before the hour mark as the Londoners came again.
Adarabioyo's afternoon was done just after the hour mark as Joe Rothwell came on for the defender, who had produced a composed display on his home debut for the club.
It was set to turn into a nervy final 15 minutes for Rovers, but that man Dack made it two goals in his last two games as he tapped home from close range.
It came after patient play, with Lenihan's sublime right-wing cross being smashed into the back of the net by the playmaker.
That same man dragged wide before Bialkowski was in the way again a moment later to stop Rothwell from sealing the points.
The confidence was flowing through Dack and he curled over in the final minute of the game as Rovers returned to winning ways in the Championship.
