Fans who are unable to attend tonight’s sold out ‘An Evening with Matt Jansen’ can meet the former Rovers favourite at Ewood Park tomorrow.
Jansen will be a special guest of the club at tomorrow’s Championship clash against Luton Town.
The 41-year-old, who scored 57 goals in 182 appearances for the club, will be taking part in a book signing session in the Roverstore from 12.30-1pm, ahead of the game against the Hatters.
Jansen recently brought out a new autobiography ‘What Was, What Is and What Might Have Been’, which is available to buy from the club shop and online by clicking here.
The book tells the story of a horror motorcycle incident in Rome in 2002, which resulted in Jansen suffering a brain haemorrhage and slipping into a coma for six days.
The Ewood favourite, who netted the winner at Preston North End which secured Rovers’ promotion back to the Premier League in 2001, as well as the opener in the 2002 Worthington Cup final triumph over Tottenham Hotspur, will be a guest in the Premier Suite at tomorrow’s game.
He will also make an appearance on the pitch at half-time, to provide the supporters with an opportunity to show their appreciation to the former striker for his stellar service in the famous blue-and-white halves.
