Two second-half goals saw Durham leave Lancashire with all three points as they beat Rovers 3-1 in the Continental Cup.
The result leaves Gemma Donnelly’s side with one point from their opening two games in the Group Stage.
Kathryn Hill opened the scoring on 23 minutes, before Saffron Jordan levelled for the home side. But Durham scored twice in the second period to condemn Rovers to defeat.
The Wildcats applied plenty of early pressure and that told when Hill headed in from close range.
Rovers were level on the half hour mark. Jordan pounced in the box to finish expertly after Natasha Flint’s free-kick was parried into her path by Megan Borthwick.
The visitors looked to go back in front but debutant Lauren Perry was on hand to parry Megan Bell’s powerful drive from 25 yards out and keep the scores level.
Natasha Fenton went close after the break when she cut inside on her right and fired an effort narrowly over the crossbar.
Becky Salicki put the visitors back in front, tapping in at the back post after Rovers switched off.
Rovers did have chances to equalise again as Lauren Davies was inches away from getting on the end of Jess Holbrook’s cross.
And when Flint cut the ball across towards Jordan, Borthwick had to be alert to pounce on the ball.
Durham sealed victory with eight minutes to go - captain Beth Hepple tapped in at the back post for what was a carbon copy of their second goal.
Flint did have the ball in the Durham net in stoppage time, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Rovers now turn their attention back to the league for next Sunday’s home game against Coventry United at Ewood Park.
