Rovers will be looking to bounce back from the weekend defeat to Luton Town when they tackle Nottingham Forest at Ewood Park this evening.

Joe Rothwell's strike in the last meeting against The Reds earned the 24-year-old the Goal of the Season award, and the playmaker could return this evening having missed the last two outings through illness.

Aside from Ben Brereton and Dan Butterworth, Tony Mowbray has a fully fit squad to choose from against Sabri Lamouchi's outfit.

Rovers will be hoping to bounce back against the high-flying Reds following the weekend home defeat to Luton Town at Ewood Park.

It's been a fine start to the campaign for Forest, who come into the game in third position and knowing that a win could move them to the top of the Championship table.

But they do have a doubt regarding the fitness of experienced centre back Michael Dawson. The Forest skipper hobbled off in the win over Stoke City on Friday night and will miss tonight's clash at Ewood Park.

Chema Rodriguez, Tobias Figueiredo and Alex Milosevic are all competing to fill in for the former Tottenham Hotspur and England defender.

However, Lamouchi could be boosted by the return of loan frontman Rafa Mir to the squad following an injury that has kept the Spaniard out of action for over a month.

Kick-off this evening for our first home league game under the lights is at 7.45pm, and if you can't make the match then you can track all the action via iFollow Rovers and our social media channels.
