A look ahead to tonight's clash against The Blues at St Andrew's in the Sky Bet Championship

Rovers return to action this evening with a trip to the Midlands to take on Birmingham City at St Andrew's for game number 13 of the Sky Bet Championship 2019-20 campaign.

Both games finished 2-2 when the sides met last term, with Danny Graham scoring in both outings for Rovers in the entertaining clashes.

That was actually Graham's fourth and fifth goals from his six league games against Birmingham, whilst on the other side, Lukas Jukiewicz - who Tony Mowbray signed for Middlesbrough in 2012 - has scored four times from his seven league starts against Rovers.

The Blues have a new coach this time around in the form of Spanish supremo Pep Clotet, who took over the reigns following Garry Monk's departure at the beginning of the season.

Clotet's side aren't in the best of form and come into the game on the back of a narrow defeat against Leeds United at Elland Road at the weekend.

That defeat against the Yorkshiremen was actually the fourth defeat in the last five games for Birmingham, but they did earn victory in their last home outing against Middlesbrough.

Clotet could be without three key midfield players for this evening's game due to suspension and injury. Ivan Sunjic picked up his fifth booking of the season at Leeds and will definitely miss out, whilst there are major doubts over the fitness of Gary Gardner and Maikel Kieftenbeld.

Rovers could welcome back former Blues trainee Amari'i Bell, who was forced to sit out Saturday's home draw against Huddersfield Town with a knee injury.

Joe Grayson, Greg Cunningham and Darragh Lenihan all remain long-term absentees and won't feature for Mowbray's men.

If you're making a late decision about whether to join us at St Andrew's, tickets are available from Birmingham on the day of the game, cash only and with no price increase.

If you can't make it, you can track all of tonight's action on iFollow Rovers and across our social media channels.
