Lewis Thompson is expected to take to the field this evening for Northern Ireland's Under-21s in a big Euro Under-21s qualifier.

Thompson, who has featured regularly for Billy Barr's Development squad so far this term, will hope to play a part for his country in a pair of big games, which both come away from home.

Northern Ireland's first test comes tonight, when they face Denmark in Aalborg in their third match in Group B.

On Monday they will take on Romania at the Anghel Iordanescu Stadium in Voluntari.

Ian Barraclough's Under-21s currently sit fourth in Group H having picked up two points from their opening two games.

The left back will hope to continue his form in front of goal having bagged against Finland last time out.

The youngster scored the equaliser in the 1-1 draw, smashing home from close range before the break.

Kick-off this evening is at 5pm.

Good luck, Lewis!
