Rovers bowed out of the Under-18s Premier League Cup following a narrow home defeat to Wolves Under-18s at Brockhall at the weekend.
Following a goalless first half, Luke Brennan put the hosts ahead nine minutes after the interval after getting on the end of a Jalil Saadi ball.
Wolves levelled soon after through defender Kamran Kandola before the tie was turned on its head less than 10 minutes later.
There was only 13 minutes remaining when Jack Hodnett put the visitors in front as he got on the end of a Jadon Forrester ball to beat Jordan Eastham in the Rovers goal.
That turned out to be the winning moment, with chances few and far between late on as Rovers bowed out of the competition.
The fate's the same for Wolves, who finish bottom of Group A on goal difference, with Rovers third.
Chelsea topped the group with nine points from their three games, whilst Arsenal will have to wait and see if they are one of the two best-placed runners-up.
Next up for Rovers is a return to league action against Middlesbrough Under-18s on Saturday, kick-off 12pm at the Rovers Academy.
