Tony Mowbray has challenged his Rovers side to complete a 100% winning week when he takes the team to Stoke City on Saturday.

Rovers aim to back up home triumphs over Barnsley and Brentford with a third successive three-point haul against Michael O'Neill's Potters.

Rovers would likely move into the top half of the table with victory against City, and Mowbray admits that his team are in a good place ahead of the trip to Staffordshire.

“We’re pleased with the week so far and we just have to keep the positivity going really, and go into the next game in the same frame of mind," he told iFollow Rovers ahead of the weekend.

“We need to be as positive as we can and believe that if we all do our jobs that we’re capable of winning anywhere.

“That’s the mentality to take into this weekend’s game. Every game is difficult, every team wants to win and we’re no different.

“The concentration, the focus of the team, we’ll go into the game believing that we can win if everyone does their job, works hard, the defenders keep their concentration and the strikers take their chances."

Whilst the recent form at Ewood Park has been excellent following three successive wins on home turf, Mowbray admits his team need to transfer that to trips elsewhere sooner rather than later.

“We need to win on the road more consistently because any team that wants to be successful can’t just rely on their home form," the boss added.

“We want to try and improve our away form by being positive, aggressive and trying to get some more victories on the road in the next few weeks.

“It can be done. We have to be solid and stop giving cheap goals away, because we know we have the players that can score goals."
