The Poppy shirts worn in Saturday's Remembrance Day fixture against Leeds United are now up for auction, in support of a local worthy cause.
Rovers fans are being given the opportunity to bid for the commemorative shirts, with all proceeds going to The Queen’s Lancashire Regiment Veterans Charity – one of the club’s official charity partners.
The charity was founded in March 2016 with the aim of providing the public with memorials in Staffordshire and on the Fylde Coast in memory of those personnel who served in the regiment during the 20th and 21st century, as well as providing relief and welfare support to veterans within the local community.
Supporters can submit their bids – stating the amount and which player’s shirt they wish to bid for – by emailing Remembrance2019@rovers.co.uk.
The deadline for bids is midnight on Friday November 15th.
Successful bidders will be contacted by the club and will be presented with their shirts – signed by the player – once payment has been received, on a mutually convenient date.
