Rovers will join other EFL clubs across the country this weekend by showing our support and raising awareness of Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign.
The campaign, which runs from Friday November 22nd to Sunday December 8th, aims to promote diversity and inclusivity in all areas of football, both on and off the pitch, and encourage communities to ‘Come Out Active’ by getting people to participate in something active in the name of LGBT equality in sport.
At Saturday’s home game against Barnsley, Rovers will highlight its continued support for LGBT fans, players and staff across the game by turning the corner flags, subs board, programme cover, social media logo and captain’s armband rainbow coloured, whilst rainbow laces will also be provided to the players.
Saturday’s activation reinforces Rovers' commitment to promoting inclusion and engaging with its diverse community under the #OneRovers banner.
Fans can show their support by visiting www.stonewall.org.uk/rainbowlaces to get their own laces and by using the official hashtags #RainbowLaces and #ComeOutActive when sharing content that celebrates LGBT people in sport online.
