Rovers Ladies are aiming to record back-to-back league victories when they travel to face Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.
Here’s our guide to the Women’s Championship fixture…
GAME DETAILS
It's a 2pm kick-off at Quorn FC.
STATE OF PLAY
Rovers beat Crystal Palace 2-0 last weekend to continue a fine run of form that has seen them pick up seven points from games against the Eagles, Coventry United and Durham.
Serena Fletcher and Natasha Flint were on the scoresheet either side of half-time at Bamber Bridge.
Another win on Sunday could see Rovers climb as high as sixth in the table.
OUR OPPONENTS
Leicester were beaten 3-1 by Coventry United in their last home game. Despite taking a first-half lead, it was the visitors who fought back to claim all three points.
That result leaves City in 10th position, with five points from their opening eight games.
PREVIOUS MEETING
Rovers last faced the Foxes away in the league during the 2017-18 season. Saffron Jordan’s brace and a goal from Natasha Flint saw Rovers come from behind to take all three points at the end of the season.
The Blues were also victorious in the League Cup Final that season, winning 3-1.
TEAM NEWS
It’s likely to be an unchanged squad from last weekend. Kelsey Pearson is still out with the injury she picked up against Liverpool.
