Rovers return to action at Ewood Park tonight when Brentford make the long trip north for game number 18 of the 2019-20 Championship campaign.

Tony Mowbray's men will go in search of a third successive home win following victories against Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley at Ewood Park in recent weeks.

The boss confirmed in his pre-match press conference that he will run the rule over a couple of his players ahead of this evening's encounter, with a doubt over Joe Rothwell, who came off with a tight calf on Saturday.

If Rothwell does play then it will be the 150th appearance of his club career, whilst Danny Graham will go in search of his 50th league goal for the club should he appear.

Brentford head to East Lancashire armed with a familiar face in Rovers Academy graduate David Raya, who joined the Londoners in the summer for an undisclosed fee.

He's been a consistent performer for Thomas Frank's side this term and comes into tonight's game on the back of two clean sheets.

Brentford come into the game with five wins from their last six outings, but in the half-dozen games they've lost this term they've failed to score in each of them.

Ollie Watkins is expected to line up in attack and, with 11 goals already this season, the Devonian is only one strike off league top scorer Aleksander Mitrovic's tally of 12.

Speaking ahead of the game, Bees boss Frank is expecting a tricky night at Ewood Park.

"Tony Mowbray, his staff and the players have done a fantastic job over the last couple of seasons and I think this campaign has seen them attempt to dominate teams more," the Dane said told the media ahead of the trip.

"Rovers want to get on the ball more and have some crucial players as well, such as [Bradley] Dack. I expect it to be a 50/50 game on the ball and we'll need to defend well before taking our moments if we can.

"Everyone is ready and it'll be good to have Christian Norgaard back in the squad as well."

Kick-off is at 7.45pm and if you can't make the game then you can track all the action on iFollow Rovers and our social media channels.
