For the second week in succession Scott Wharton was back in amongst the goals for League Two side Northampton Town.
The defender, who scored a brace in The Cobblers' 4-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra, found the net for a third time in a week as Keith Curle's side comfortably saw off Grimsby Town at Sixfields Stadium.
Wharton thumped home a header to open the scoring after 25 minutes, before Vadaine Oliver made it 2-0 just before half-time against the managerless Mariners.
The victory sees Northampton move into fifth place in the League 2 table with a fifth win in the last six games.

In the National League, Barrow, who included Rovers pair Tom White and Matty Platt in their side, earned an 11th win from their last 12 league games.
The latest victory was a narrow triumph over Barnet at Holker Street, with first half strikes from Joe Quigley and John Rooney enough to earn the three points on home turf.
Platt appeared for the full 90 minutes, whilst White was replaced with 19 minutes remaining as the Cumbrian outfit remained at the summit of the division.
Next up for Barrow is a local clash at home to Chorley tomorrow [Tuesday] night, whilst Northampton are next in action on Sunday, hosting Notts County in the Emirates FA Cup.
Elsewhere, Charlie Mulgrew played the full 90 minutes for Wigan Athletic as The Latics suffered a late defeat to Stoke City.
Michael O'Neill continued his 100% winning record as boss of The Potters, with a 90th minute goal from former Rover Mame Biram Diouf earning all three points for the hosts, who recorded a 2-1 victory.
In League One, injury prevented Tyler Magloire from appearing for loan side Rochdale this weekend.
