Rovers defender Ryan Nyambe made a winning home debut for Namibia as he helped his country to an opening African Cup of Nations Qualifying win over Chad.
Played at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek, Nyambe had a glorious chance to put his side ahead midway through the first half, but skewed a header wide of the left-hand post after getting on the end of a deep corner.
The rest of the action happened in the second half, with Eli Adoassou's own goal inadvertently putting the hosts ahead after 66 minutes.
But that lead didn't last long, with Ezechiel N'Douassel levelling for the visitors just two minutes later.
To their credit, Namibian heads didn't drop and Chris Katjiukua put the Brave Warriors back ahead soon after, which proved to be the winning goal of the contest.
The win puts Namibia at the top of Group A.
Ryan, who played the full 90 minutes, will hope to keep his place in the team for the away game against Guinea on Tuesday.
