Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are delighted to once again be in the running for two HIVE Blackburn and Darwen Business Awards!

Having landed the Services To Blackburn and Darwen Award at last year's ceremony, the club’s official charity is once again in contention for that title in 2019, as well as being shortlisted for Medium Business of the Year accolade.

Also in the running for the title they're defending are a number of their close associates, with AFC Darwen, Blackburn Youth Zone, H&T Industrial,, Secret Santa, The Acme Facilities Group and The Bureau Centre for the Arts joining them on the shortlist. Competition for the Medium Business of the Year title comes from Ewood Foods and H&T Industrial.

The winners of each award will be unveiled at the exciting ceremony at King George's Hall on Thursday 27th June; a night before the charity host their own awards ceremony when the inaugural Blackburn Rovers Community Trust Awards take place in the Premier Suite at Ewood Park.

Gary Robinson, chief executive officer of Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, was pleased to receive another nomination recognising the efforts of the charity in an exciting period of progression, explaining:

"We're very proud that fellow Blackburn and Darwen based business leaders have identified the Community Trust as a valuable asset to the local area and deemed us worthy to be in contention for these two titles.

"Our HIVE award in 2018 was our first success at the ceremony and it's pleasing to see that our contribution to the town and the surrounding areas continues to be recognised by the adjudicating panel, who we had the privilege to meet and pitch to in person as part of the judging process.

"One of the key reasons that we continue to be valued so highly by our local community is that we always seek to respond to the local need and offer the support and services that people in our local area require, making us a key asset for Blackburn with Darwen.

"I would like to thank our staff for continually offering this benefit to our local society with a high standard of delivery and a professional and engaging demeanour. Whether or not we bring home either award on the night, simply being nominated is hopefully a welcome and deserved boost for everyone to know that their efforts are appreciated."

If you're interested in becoming a sponsor, partner or attendee at BRCT’s very own awards ceremony - the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust Awards - on Friday 28th June, please email for further details.
