It may have been the first team's final game of the campaign at the weekend, but Damien Johnson's Under-23s team still have one game left to play of their term - and it's a big one!
Johnson's youngsters will take on Burnley later this evening in the Lancashire Senior Cup Final, kick-off 7pm at the Lancashire FA HQ in Leyland.
Rovers, who last lifted the trophy in 2011, booked their place in the final courtesy of a 6-0 victory over Blackpool followed by a dramatic penalty shoot-out success over Accrington Stanley at the semi-final stage.
Burnley beat Barrow 4-0 and then Fleetwood Town 1-0, before triumphing 6-4 away to Rochdale in the other semi-final.
In terms of team news, Joe Nuttall is expected to play a part in the game having been left out of the first team squad against Swansea City at the weekend.
The likes of Dan Butterworth - who scored at Liverpool in the final Premier League 2 game of the season last week - and John Buckley could also start at Leyland.
Two definite absentees will be Jack Evans and Ben Paton, with the pair both out with long-term injuries, but the duo are expected to be fine when the Development Squad return for pre-season in the summer.
In the event of the final ending level at full-time, the winners shall be determined by penalties.
Tickets are on sale now and will be available from the Ticket Office at Ewood Park until 3pm today.
