Best of luck to Rovers midfielder Brad Lyons, who will today be hoping to help St Mirren secure their Scottish Premiership status.

The Northern Irish youngster has been on loan at the Scottish side for the second half of the 2018-19 season, having put pen-to-paper on a permanent deal with Rovers in January.

St Mirren travel to bottom-of-the-table Dundee this lunchtime (kick-off 12.30pm) for their season finale and must better Hamilton’s result against St Johnstone to secure survival.

Oran Kearney’s side are currently 11th in the table, on 29 points, just one point behind Hamilton going into the final round of league fixtures.

The Saints have won four and drawn three of their last 10 games to give themselves a fighting chance of staying up, with Lyons scoring the winner – his first professional goal – in the reverse fixture at home to Dundee in March.

The team finishing 11th in the top flight will meet Dundee United or Inverness Caledonian Thistle over two legs in the play-off final.
