Rovers goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler has been named in the Canada squad for the forthcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will primarily be hosted in the United States.
The 30-year-old, who has three caps for his country, will report for a pre-tournament training camp in Los Angeles, California, early next month.
Canada get their Gold Cup campaign underway against Martinique at the Rose Bowl, Pasadena, on Saturday June 15th, before facing Mexico at the Broncos Stadium, Denver, on Wednesday June 19th.
The Reds take on Cuba in their final group game at the Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, on Sunday June 23rd.
The top two teams in Group A will advance to the quarter-finals, which are scheduled for June 29th.
The final of the 16-team continental championship will be held in Chicago on Sunday July 7th.
The call-up is further good news for Leutwiler, who played the final four games of Rovers' 2018-19 Championship season and was rewarded with a new 12-month contract with the club earlier this month.
