Rovers defender Paul Downing will hope that he is just one win away from booking his place at Wembley.

The 27-year-old is currently on loan at Doncaster Rovers, who face Charlton Athletic tonight in the second leg of their League One play-off semi-final.

Charlton lead the tie 2-1 going into the second leg, which takes place at The Valley, kick-off 7.45pm.

Downing, who made 17 league starts during the second half of the season to help Doncaster finish sixth, played the full 90 minutes in the first leg at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday.

Goals from Lyle Taylor and Joe Aribo gave the Addicks a commanding half-time lead, but Matty Blair's late strike has given Doncaster hope ahead of tonight's return tie.

The winners will meet Sunderland in the final under the Wembley arch on Sunday May 26th.
