Strikers’ Lounge at Ewood Park recently hosted children from the Abu Hanifa Foundation during a variety of workshops, with special guest speaker Quaddir Choudhary.
The talks were focused around setting up SMART goals and objectives (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound), wherein children were encouraged to apply what they had learnt to Ramadan.
It further highlights Rovers' community integration and showing its inclusive approach to hopefully attract fans of the future.
A pair of two-hour sessions were spread across Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th May, which was an ideal break to their usual classroom setting.
Throughout the workshop, children completed a variety of tasks, including group brainstorming sessions, physical activities that challenge beliefs on personal limits and much more.
Speaking after the day, Huzaifah Adam from the Foundation was delighted with how the event turned out.
"It was a great opportunity to get the kids out of their normal learning environment and to have some fun.
“We would like to attend regularly and make this visit to Ewood Park as often as possible.
“We can see a lot of rewards and benefits that come from this, especially child development as the facilities are both fantastic and comfortable.”
Rovers looks forward to hosting AHF in the future for more learning opportunities and fun events for young people.
