Tyler Magloire says having a "winning mentality" can only be a good thing for Damien Johnson's Development Squad.
The starlets capped off an excellent campaign in the top tier of Premier League 2 with a fifth placed finish before going on to beat Burnley in the Lancashire Senior Cup Final at Leyland on Tuesday night.
It's more silverware for Magloire, who played a part in last season's Premier League 2 Division 2 success in 2017-18.
And speaking after the game, the Under-23s captain, who made his first team debut earlier this season, was beaming with pride, admitting that he felt the team showed their "class" to earn a 2-0 win over The Clarets.
“It is a great finish to what’s been a very good season for us," the 20-year-old centre back said.
"We started a little slow, but once we got into it we really showed our class. It’s a great way to round things off.
“I think we all knew this season would be a tough one. We moved into a harder league, but we still wanted to come away with something.
“It’s important to have a winning mentality and to earn trophies. If we keep winning then we can’t go wrong.
“It’s always nice to beat Burnley, it makes things a little bit more worth it and we love it.
“Both Hayden [Carter] and Jack [Vale] have played key roles in this season and it’s fitting that they got the goals on the night. They deserved their goals and it got us over the line."
