Summer time is an opportunity to relax for most, but Darragh Lenihan is set for a busy next couple of months!
The defender, who returned to the starting lineup towards the back end of the season after a troublesome injury, finished the campaign in fine form, striking up an excellent partnership with Derrick Williams in the Rovers backline.
Lenihan appeared 38 times in all competitions for Rovers during the 2018-19 campaign, and the break to rest up ahead of pre-season should have come in handy for the Irishman.
However, with marriage adding to holidays and the return of pre-season training, Lenihan's going to be a busy man.
“After last season, I wanted to get at least 30 games under my belt this time around, which I'm pleased proved to be the case despite one of two injuries..
“I’m happy with my season and looking back I feel I’ve done well. The aim for me now is to just keep getting better and developing my game.
“I’m getting married in the summer as well, so it’ll be a quiet one!
“The fans enjoy watching us, we give it our all and they appreciate that. The fans always back us because we work as hard as we can."
