Report: Rovers U18s 1 Stoke City U18s 0

Ben Pleavin continued his goalscoring form by netting the winner against the Potters at Brockhall

25 March 2019

Ben Pleavin scored for the second successive game to help Rovers to victory against Stoke City's Under-18s at the weekend.

Under-16 forward Pleavin, who found the net in the 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough in midweek, turned into the match-winner on Saturday morning.

His goal on the hour mark proved the difference against the Potters, to move Rovers into mid-table in the Under-18 Premier League.

The latest result means it's just one defeat in the last five games for Billy Barr's side, who earned victory without two of their regulars.

Both Vilius Piliukaitis and Jalil Saadi were away on international duty, which resulted in opportunities for others.

Rovers will hope to continue their fine form when they take on Middlesbrough at Brockhall on Saturday 6th April, kick-off 12pm.
