Harry Chapman is expected to continue his progress back to fitness when Rovers Under-23s take on Brighton & Hove Albion Under-23s this evening.

The pair, who have appeared for the full 90 minutes in the last Development Squad outing at Dagenham & Redbridge, will be looking to complete tonight's Premier League 2 encounter against the Seagulls at Leyland.

Chapman, who completed a full game in a number of months last week, will see the encounter as a prime opportunity to reach the number again.

One player who is a doubt is Jacob Davenport, who picked up a knock in training last week. The youngster has been a regular in Damien Johnson's side in recent weeks and is unlikely to be risked this evening.

Ben Brereton, who scored a late goal against West Ham, could also gain minutes under his belt having been an unused substitute for the first team at the weekend, but that is dependant on his availability for Tuesday night's first team clash against Wigan Athletic.

The visitors come into the game on the back of three consecutive wins, and sit second in the table, four points behind Everton at the top of the table.
This earlier encounter between the sides ended 2-1 to Albion, with goals from Ben Barclay and Aaron Connolly securing all three points at the Amex back in October.

Kick-off at Leyland is at 7pm, and as always, entrance to the match will be free of charge for season ticket holders, and just £3 for non-season ticket holders.
