Rovers Ladies can move a step closer to a third successive Northern Premier Division title by beating Huddersfield Town Ladies at Bamber Bridge on Sunday.
Gemma Donnelly’s side have a perfect record, winning all 15 league games so far this season to put the Blues 14 points ahead of Huddersfield, with a game in hand.
There are nine games to go, but Rovers need just three more wins to retain the league championship.
Rovers won a thrilling reverse fixture 4-3 against Sunday opponents earlier in the season.
Donnelly said: “Huddersfield are a stubborn and relentless team. The game will be as difficult as previous encounters.
“We have had two positive results. But they know they have one more opportunity to beat the current Champions.”
Rovers welcome back goalkeeper Fran Stenson into the squad, after the loanee was ineligible for the Cup Semi-Final last weekend.
Her debut came against the Terriers two weeks ago, when the Blues also triumphed in the League Cup Quarter-Final, thanks to goals from Saffron Jordan and Lagan Makin.
Rovers continued their fine form by beating Loughborough Foxes 4-0 last weekend.
“It proved to be a difficult task as expected to get a result. It wasn’t until the second-half when we turned up the quality, that we were able to make the break through.
The Ladies are eyeing up another treble, but Donnelly is keen to keep the players’ feet on the ground.
“With last week’s Cup success of reaching the Final, the players are as determined as ever to not falter at the final stages.”
Elsewhere, the Development side are away to second-placed Sheffield United, in a top of the table clash.
Tickets for Sunday’s game at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium are priced at £4 for adults and £2 for concessions with free entry for Rovers Season Ticket holders and One Club members.
