Rovers debutant Tyler Magloire was thrilled with a dream maiden outing for the first team, helping Tony Mowbray's side to the three points and a clean sheet against Wigan Athletic.
The defender didn't put a foot wrong all game and managed to get in the way of a number of visiting shots to preserve a shut out for David Raya and the team.
And speaking afterwards, the 20-year-old admitted he was beaming to come through the full 90 minutes for first team, having joined the club at the age of nine.
“I’m absolutely buzzing, it’s what I’ve worked so hard for for a long time," the defender told iFollow Rovers.
“It’s a dream debut, all that was missing was a goal. It was great to get the clean sheet, not just for me, but for the team as a whole.
“Three points for the team is the most important thing and hopefully we can build on this on Saturday by getting another three points.
“I found out that I would be starting on Monday. We did a bit of shape and the gaffer told me. I was looking forward to it and did everything possible to be ready and focused for the game.
“I was prepared and ready to do my job. All the lads in the dressing room made me feel comfortable, part of it and settled me down. Any nerves I had only helped me, sometimes you need that," he confessed.
“You have to use the nerves to your advantage and give you that fire in your belly."
