Rovers strike duo Ben Brereton and Joe Nuttall made a visit to our Academy education partner, Moorland School, earlier this week.
The Rovers pair took part in a few games of head tennis with some of the older pupils, with Ben and Joe on opposite sides.
A Q&A session quickly followed, where the students posed questions on the training schedules, the ups and the downs in each player's career and much more.
Soon after and the young forwards were in the classroom, as some of the younger pupils asked about coming up against difficult opponents, overcoming setbacks and, of course, hobbies outside of playing the game they love.
And speaking after the event, Brereton was impressed with what he saw from the youngsters.
"In the head tennis activity you could see that everybody had the right application, in terms of the team work shown with each other and the technical side of the game as well.
"The questions asked were a lot different to most that are posed to us.
"You have to remember that these students are all budding athletes, and we discussed more about the dedication, hard work, graft and application that needs to be shown to get where myself and Joe have.
"Hopefully we'll see a lot of the lads turn out for the Rovers first team in the future."
The likes of Joe Grayson and Stefan Mols are former pupils at Moorland, whilst Jack Vale is a current student at the Clitheroe-based establishment.
