Rampaging Rover right back Ryan Nyambe says he can't wait to represent Namibia in the African Cup of Nations, which takes place later this month.
The defender had been part of a 28-man squad, which joined up in the United Arab Emirates for a training camp at the end of May.
Last weekend, the 21-year-old made his international debut, helping Namibia earn a 1-0 victory over Ghana in a behind-closed-doors friendly in Dubai.
Namibia are in Group D at the tournament, where they will face Morocco on June 23rd, South Africa on June 28th and Ivory Coast on July 1st.
And discussing the upcoming tournament, the Academy graduate is looking forward to rubbing shoulders with the best, with the young right back likely to come up directly against Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha when Namibia tackle Ivory Coast.
“I’ve spoken to the coach and we’re ready to go," Nyambe told iFollow Rovers.
"International football will give me more good experiences and will improve me as a footballer. The more games you play the more experience you get.
