Rovers will face Scottish giants Rangers in a pre-season friendly this summer.
Tony Mowbray, who managed in Scotland with both Hibs and Celtic, will take his side to Ibrox on Sunday July 21st, kick-off 3pm.
Steven Gerrard’s side finished second in the Scottish Premiership last season, nine points behind champions Celtic.
Rangers have lifted the league title a record 54 times, as well as winning 33 Scottish Cups and the Scottish League Cup on 27 occasions.
The two teams have never met in a competitive fixture, but did face each other in the 2010 Sydney Festival of Football in Australia, when a David Dunn penalty wasn’t enough to prevent Rovers from slipping to a 2-1 defeat.
