Club captain Charlie Mulgrew was on hand to welcome the next batch of promising young players into the Rovers Academy.
The Scotland international, who recently featured for his country in a pair of UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifiers, was a special guest at Ewood Park, where our Under-8s signed their contracts for next season.
After assembling pitchside for a group photo, the pint-sized stars made their way up to the Media Theatre, where they listened to speeches and presentations from Pre-Academy Manager Dan Finch and Head of Academy Coaching Tony Carss.
Mulgrew then took centre stage, answering questions from the players and their parents, as well as offering some sage advice, with a strong focus on the importance of self-belief, hard work and leading a healthy lifestyle.
The Rovers skipper then posed for photos and handed out signed postcards, before the youngsters made their way to Blues to put pen-to-paper and enjoy some refreshments.
Rovers would like to congratualte all of the boys on being offered contracts and wish them the best of luck on their journeys to becoming professional footballers.
