Louie Annesley's season has come to a conclusion and it ended in frustration against the Republic of Ireland last night.
Louie, who was part of the Gibraltar squad that were defeated in Georgia earlier in the week, played the full 90 minutes against Mick McCarthy's Ireland side last night.
Joseph Chipolina's first half own goal handed the hosts the lead before Robbie Brady doubled the tally late on with a header, to complete a 2-0 win in Dublin.
Gibraltar currently sit bottom of Group D after losing each of their opening three games in the Qualifiers.
The defender earned cap number seven for his country and will now have a break before returning to Rovers for pre-season training at the end of this month.
Annesley could next feature for his country in September, with Gibraltar taking on Denmark and Switzerland in a pair of crucial Euro 2020 Qualifiers.
