Danny Graham says he's raring to go and is looking to repeat his displays from last season throughout the coming campaign.
Last term was a successful one for the 33-year-old, whose displays and goals earned him both the Rovers Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards at the end of 2018-19.
Back for pre-season, the experienced striker looked in fine shape and was in good form when he discussed his summer and pre-season thoughts to iFollow Rovers.
“I've had a great summer and it’s been good to have some time off, reflect on last season and see my family," he began on day one of pre-season.
“Everyone is looking forward to getting going and having a strong season in the Championship.
“After a long season the break was needed. We’ve had the break and we're now looking forward to getting the season started and starting well.
“Me and Chappy [Harry Chapman] have been in for a couple of weeks over the summer to give ourselves the best chance of being fit and ready to go."
Graham, who earned a one-year extension to his deal in the summer, is already seeking an improvement to last term's 15th placed finish.
He'll be crucial to Rovers' hopes next season, and he's hoping to improve on his 16-goal haul from 2018-19.
“I look back on last season with good memories, but we could have done better and did let ourselves down a bit in February and March," he reflected.
“But we know what to expect in the Championship and will hopefully have learnt from the mistakes of last season.
“My target is to maintain those standards from last season and ensure I start in the team and stay in the team."
