Lewis Travis admits he needs to add more goals and assists to his game to keep progressing, and is aiming to help haul Rovers back into the big time after agreeing a new four-year deal this week.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who appeared 31 times in all competitions last term, put pen-to-paper this week on fresh terms that will take him through to the summer of 2023.
It's been quite a 2019 so far for the young Liverpudlian, who's firmly nailed down a spot in the Rovers team to become a key player for Tony Mowbray's side.
And looking ahead, Travis believes the best is still to come from him.
“The gaffer knows what I can do now," he told iFollow Rovers when reflecting on taking his chance in the first team.
"I just need to keep playing my own game and helping the team. With the squad we have here, I think we’ve got a massive chance to achieve something really special.
“We’ve gone through targets, things you need to work on, what you do well and what you need to improve. One of my big targets is to get in the Premier League with Rovers.
“That’s the dream, that’s the goal. We all want to be in the Premier League and we all want to do it with Rovers," he added.
“Another target is to get more goals and that’s what I’ve been working on. I found myself around the box a lot last season and I’ve spoken to Danny Graham a lot. He tells me to shoot on sight and that’s helped me already.
“I’m working on my finishing and taking confidence from scoring goals.
“I can’t wait for the season to start now.”
