Rovers are delighted to announce that Lewis Travis has today signed a new long-term contract with the club.
One of Rovers' most highly-rated young players, Travis has put pen-to-paper on a new four-year deal, through to June 2023, with the option of an extra 12 months.
The 21-year-old, who scored Rovers' equaliser in yesterday's pre-season friendly against Rangers, joined the club from Liverpool at the age of 17.
After graduating from the Academy, Travis quickly became a standout performer for Rovers' Under-23s, which led to a first team debut against Stoke City in the Checkatrade Trophy in August 2017.
The box-to-box midfielder made five league appearances during the 2017-18 promotion-winning campaign, before becoming a mainstay of the side during the second half of last season.
Travis made 31 appearances in all competitions last term, producing some outstanding performances in the middle of the park, and he capped his breakthrough campaign with his first Rovers goal away to Norwich City in April.
Rovers fans can now look forward to the talented youngster becoming an even more influential footballer for the club over the next four years.
