Sam Gallagher is predicting good times ahead at Rovers after putting pen-to-paper on a long-term contract at the club.
The striker, who arrived from Southampton yesterday, is targeting a successful stay at Ewood Park and believes the club are in a much better place three years on from his first stint in blue-and-white.
The 23-year-old frontman bagged 12 goals in a season-long loan spell back in 2016-17 and he now hopes to fire Rovers towards the top end of the Championship table this time around.
And he believes the current Rovers squad have got all the ingredients to get there.
“I feel like I’ve got to that age now, where after experiences on loan at different clubs, some good and some bad, you find out what you really want," he told iFollow Rovers.
“It just felt that it was the right time to find a home elsewhere and I believe that this is the right club for me for that to happen.
“With Tony and the staff, I truly believe we can be successful.
“There are little bits of the club that have changed. You can see the club is always trying to build, it’s not as if I’ve been away for three years and nothing’s happened.
“Some great players have come in, the squad’s always improving and that shows the direction that the club is going in now.
“Rovers is a giant football club, you can see that by the facilities that we have here. It’s not a club that should be where it is now.
“I believe that we can be right up there and I think that’s what can really happen."
