The Development Squad are back in pre-season action this evening, with a trip to Kendal Town's Parkside Road.

With a strong squad set to head to Bury on Wednesday night, it's expected that a young team will be selected for tonight's encounter against the Northern Premier League Division One North West side.

Billy Barr is expected to take a mainly Under-18s side for the game, with highly-rated youngsters Sam Barnes, Isaac Whitehall and James Connolly all expected to play a part against their non-league opponents.

Having not been part of the first team squad that drew at Rangers on Sunday afternoon, the likes of Harry Chapman, Joe Nuttall and Scott Wharton could all get a run out as they look to boost their fitness levels.

New captures Tom White and Joe Hilton are also expected to play a part against Steven Edmondson's outfit.

Edmondson, who was appointed new Kendal boss earlier in the summer, will be hoping to oversee an instant return to the Northern Premier League Division One West following relegation last term.

Barr's boys will be hoping to continue their fine start to pre-season following last week's 2-0 victory at Clitheroe, with goals from Stefan Mols and Jack Vale sealing a comfortable win against our near neighbours.

Kick-off this evening is at 7.30pm.

If you can't make the game, the club will be providing goal updates across our social media channels.
