“It’s amazing how football works, to be back in the same building with him again."
Tom White's friendship with Adam Armstrong goes back a long, long way, and now the Geordie duo are back together again, this time at Rovers.
White and Armstrong lived around the corner from each other back in the north-east, and now the pair are set to renew acquaintances in East Lancashire.
“I know a few lads who have been in the building before and I know Adam Armstrong quite well as well," he revealed to iFollow Rovers after putting pen-to-paper.
"I grew up with him and spoke to him about the move, but the club sells itself. It definitely helps to know people who have been here though, and I’m just looking forward to starting now.
“I live about 400 metres from Arma’s house and we played for the same boys club when we were little. I used to stay round his house for sleepovers as well.
“It’s amazing how football works, to be back in the same building with him again. It’s good to see a familiar face.
“I'll have a word with him about giving me a lift in, but I’ll make sure I get my feet under the table here and get going."
