Bradley Johnson believes there are exciting times ahead for Rovers, as the pre-season schedule is cranked up a notch.
Johnson became Rovers' second signing of the summer after arriving on a free transfer from Derby County last week.
He joins Stewart Downing in making the move to East Lancashire so far, and the 32-year-old has been impressed by what he's seen from the former England and Liverpool winger so far.
“I knew Stew was here before I signed and he’s a real asset to the squad," Bradley told iFollow Rovers.
"When you look at his career, what he’s achieved in the game, he can only be a good player to have in the squad.
“I’m sure everyone is excited to play alongside him. He came in on Monday and his aim is the same as mine, it's the same as everyone in the squad.
“You can only want promotion this season. Everyone here wants to play in the Premier League, the best league in the world.
“When you look at the teams that have won promotion over the last few years, they’ve been consistent, have hit form at the right times, and have come through the tough November and December periods."
