Rovers Ladies Development team will once again compete in the FA Women's National League  Reserve Division One North for the 2019-20 campaign.

Ellie Cash’s side are looking to retain the league title for a fourth straight season, as well as aiming to keep the Reserve League Cup trophy in Lancashire.

They won a dramatic Final in last season’s showpiece event, beating Charlton Athletic in a penalty shootout at Rugby Town FC.

The young Blues will also have their eyes on a new trophy as they compete in the Lancashire FA Challenge Cup for the first time.

Rovers’ first-team lifted the trophy for a record 13th time last season but are unable to re-enter the competition following promotion to the Women’s Championship.

The Development team will face six teams during the league season: Bradford City, Brighouse Town, Chorley FC, Durham Women, Huddersfield Town and Middlesbrough.

League fixtures will be released in due course.
