Tony Mowbray has urged Rovers fans to back his side in their numbers when his side battle it out with Hull City on #OneRovers Day at Ewood Park.
Both sides are chasing down the play-off places in the Championship, with Saturday's visitors sitting level on points with Rovers, who have won all three of their league games in 2019.
But the boss is aware of the task ahead, and insists that "together, the team on the pitch and the team off the pitch can win the game."
“We’re looking forward to this weekend," Mowbray said to iFollow Rovers ahead of the clash.
"It’s an opportunity for us, and with it being an FA Cup weekend there will be a few teams above us playing in that competition.
“If we get the points then we’ll be right up there, breathing down the neck of the top six.
“But we’ll be up against a team in an amazing run of results. Hopefully the supporters will recognise the importance of Saturday’s game.
“I hope we’ll see a big crowd, a noisy crowd to help us try and get the three points.
“It’s a huge game, to the point of giving us the confidence and belief that we can play and win against the in form sides.
“It’s a tough ask but it’s a great game for us, in front of our supporters. We’ve got every reason to be buoyant and looking forward to the challenge.
“At Bramall Lane and Elland Road, we’ve seen the impact the crowd can play in forcing the ball over the line.
“We know what’s in front of us. Together, the team on the pitch and the team off the pitch can win the game."
